The NC State student chapter of Engineers Without Borders is hosting its Annual Benefit Dinner for 2025! We are so excited to welcome guests to an evening featuring a catered three course meal, a silent auction, and a panel discussion with guests from Cisco, Microsoft, Lenovo, and Element Solutions. Throughout the evening, guests will hear from our project teams both locally and internationally about the progress and accomplishments we’ve made throughout the past year.

Panel Speakers

Judy Foldes, Element Solutions Inc

Judy Foldes is the Senior Director of ESG Strategy and Corporate Communications at Element Solutions Inc. In this role, she leads the company’s sustainability strategy, tracking progress
against ESI’s Sustainability Goals and working cross-functionally to achieve them. She is responsible for ESG reporting, drives ESI’s environmental initiatives, and chairs the Global Sustainability Council. Judy is on the ESI Foundation Board of Directors and also oversees ESI Cares, the company’s volunteering and community engagement program. Additionally, she is involved in the steering committee of the Element Career Network, an employee resource group supporting career development. Prior to joining ESI, Judy was a Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ Global Markets division. She holds a BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a BA in Spanish and Political Science.

Jonathan Childress, Microsoft

J.J. Childress is a passionate leader in economic development, tech policy, and technology enabled community transformation, currently leading Microsoft’s U.S. Philanthropies Western Team and spearheading the TechSpark Initiative in Texas. This transformative program is dedicated to nurturing talent and equipping communities for the opportunities of the 21st century.  J.J. has played a pivotal role in establishing innovation accelerators, broadband access initiatives, AI and cyber security skilling programs, computer science education and entrepreneurship programs across the United States and Mexico. He has founded a range of successful businesses, earning him the Small Business Administration’s Young Entrepreneur award in 2017. JJ holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting and an MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Rachel Donahue, Lenovo

Rachel Donahue is an advisory engineer on Lenovo’s Global Environmental, Social, and Governance team. Rachel is responsible for supporting Lenovo’s ESG data and publications at the corporate level, driving the development, measurement, and reporting of programs and goals in this area.  Rachel has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. Prior to Lenovo, she worked in the environmental consulting and the renewable energy fields where she helped clients with regulatory, remediation, and other environmental engineering projects.

Jordan Hart-White, Cisco

Jordan Hart-White is an energy and sustainability manager at Cisco Systems, Inc. and chairs the RTP Sustainability Committee. She is passionate about modernizing and green-ing Cisco’s operations through sustainable design, waste reduction and employee engagement initiatives. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in American history from UCLA and a master’s degree in environmental management, Environmental Economics and Policy from Duke University. When
she is not working, she can be found baking something in the kitchen or out on a hike with her husband and Goldendoodle, Tahoe.

The JC Raulston Arboretum is a nationally acclaimed botanic garden located in Raleigh, North Carolina with one of the largest and most diverse collections of landscape plants adapted for landscape use in the southeast United States. Plants especially adapted to Piedmont North Carolina conditions are collected and evaluated in an effort to find superior plants for use in southern landscapes. Consistently ranked as one of the best things to do in Raleigh.
